This awesomely delicious Cherry Date Smoothie is one of our all time favorite smoothie recipes! Not only because we’re huge cherry lovers, but also because this spring we were blessed with tons of super yummy homegrown cherries, picked from my parents-in-law garden: )
Each spring we become completely obsessed with these little red wonders. Beside being sooo insanely tasty, they have a wide range of nutritional and health benefits. Cherries are packed with antioxidants and are also a great source of fiber, vitamins and minerals. They regulate metabolism, balance blood pressure, improve sleep and also help post-workout recovery.
And although we could eat fresh cherries all day long, I have to admit that cherries are the perfect base for divine smoothies and vegan diary-free ice creams!

10-12 dates, pitted
2 ripe bananas
1/2 cup coconut water
2 tbsp. chia seeds, soaked
2 tbsp. shredded coconut
Instructions for Awesomely Delicious Cherry Date Smoothie:
2. Mix cherries, bananas and dates in a blender. Add coconut water and blend until creamy and smooth.
3. Add chia seeds and shredded coconut and proceed for another 30 seconds.
4. Pour your awesomely delicious Cherry Date Smoothie in glasses, garnish with fresh cherries and serve immediately.
The perfect morning cherry breakfast is ready for less than 5 minutes : )
