Fermented Raw Vegan Cashew Cheese: Easy-To-Make & Super Versatile

One of the best things about this creamy fermented raw vegan cashew cheese is that it’s incredibly easy to prepare. Also it’s super versatile. You can spread it on a sourdough bread or raw crackers, crumble it on a yummy veggie salad, use it in a delicious vegan burger & sandwich or as a topping of vegan pasta & pizza.

The options are endless, just use your imagination and creativity : )

Ingredients for Fermented Raw Vegan Cashew Cheese (Vegan, Diary-Free):

250 g raw cashews, soaked for 4 – 6 days in the fridge
Himalayan salt to taste

Instructions for Fermented Raw Vegan Cashew Cheese (Vegan, Diary-Free):

1. Soak the cashews for 4 -6 days in the fridge until fermentation*
2. Remove from refrigerator and drain well.
3. Place in a blender or food processor along with the Himalayan salt.
4. Blend until smooth.
5. Serve as a topping of salads, pasta & pizzas or as addition to yummy burgers and sandwiches.

You can also just spread the cashew cheese on a slice of sourdough bread or raw cracker and top it with some fresh veggies and herbs. We LOVE it with sun dried tomatoes and arugula, this combination is simply fantastic!

* The taste of the fermented raw vegan cashew cheese depends on the days of fermentation. The longer we leave it to ferment, the more sour flavor it will have. So, experiment and try a new cashew nut every day until it reaches the fermentation level you like as flavor.
