Happy Monday, lovely people! Let’s kick-off the new week with this deliciously refreshing Green smoothie with spinach, banana, orange and dates! Before sharing this recipe, let me ask you how do you usually start your day? Do you have your favorite morning rituals?
My morning routine is pretty simple… After sending our daughter to school, I have almost оne precious hour for myself. Usually I do my morning workout at home or I go jogging in the park. To be honest, as a full time mama of two kiddos this is such a luxury for me : ) Then I make my daily cup of warm lemon water and a healthy and delicious breakfast for the rest of the family. Smoothies or smoothie bowls, we totally L-O-V-E them! And I’m so happy that our little 4-year-old boy has always been such a huge smoothie lover. It’s priceless when you see how your little monkeys follow your healthy eating habits with such a big smile : )
So, here what you need for this quick, easy and incredibly delicious smoothie breakfast…
Ingredients for Green smoothie with spinach, banana, orange and dates:
2 ripe bananas, peeled and roughly chopped
2 cups tightly packed organic fresh spinach
1 orange, peeled and roughly chopped
10-12 medjool dates, pitted
1 cup young coconut water
2 tbsp. chia seeds, soaked
shredded coconut for the topping
Instructions for Green smoothie with spinach, banana, orange and dates:
1. Mix spinach, bananas, orange and dates in a blender. Pour the coconut water and blend until smooth.
2. Add chia seeds and blend for another 20-30 seconds.
3. Pour the green smoothie in glasses and garnish with shredded coconut and a slice of orange.
4. Share this incredible deliciousness with someone you LOVE : )
