Promthep Cape – the southernmost point of Phuket
Promthep Cape is the most popular viewpoint in Phuket and one of the main tourist attractions of the island. Every evening local people and buses with hundreds of tourists arrive at this magical place to catch the romantic sunset. If the sky is clear, the sunset is breathtakingly beautiful.
To be honest, our little tribe is not huge fan of super crowded places, so we prefer to visit the viewpoint during the day. The whole place is so peaceful and serene, and the panoramic views are absolutely spectacular!
One of the main attractions at Promthep Cape is the beautiful Elephant shrine, surrounded by plenty of gorgeous elephant statues.
A walk to the southernmost point of Phuket
As huge nature lovers, we absolutely adore walking down the dirt path to the southernmost point of the cape. It’s super easy to get there, especially on a cloudy day when it’s not too hot. The panoramic views from there are even more magnificent and will just leave you speechless.
A magical place to sit, take a deep breath and relax…

How to get to Promthep Cape
If you’re coming from Nai Harn Beach, take the steep road of the left side of Nai Harn Lake in the direction to Promthep Cape. You can stop by Windmill Viewpoint, a small hilltop viewpoint with fantastic views over Ya Nui Beach and Nai Harn Beach.
Coming from Rawai Beach, go straight and follow the sign to Promthep Cape. When you reach the viewpoint, you can leave your motorbike or car at the parking lot, right next to the road.
