However, we found another great way to stay cool and hydrated in the hot, humid weather here. This Iced Turmeric Ginger Lemonade is seriously one of the most amazing drinks we have ever tried! A super refreshing summer elixir that will take you only 5 minutes to prepare it.
Iced Turmeric Ginger Lemonade: healthy, delicious and super refreshing
The recipe for this homemade turmeric ginger lemonade is quick and incredibly easy to make. You need the following simple ingredients: fresh ginger & turmeric roots, freshly squeezed lime (or lemon) juice, agave/maple syrup, ice cubes and water.
As you probably know, turmeric and ginger make a magical combo! They both have powerful anti-inflammatory properties. They can also boost your immune system and help you treat so many health issues. Therefore, this refreshing homemade lemonade is one of the best healthy & hydrating drinks for the whole family, especially for your kiddos. Our two monkeys just L-O-V-E this yummy summer heaven, so, I hope your kids to fall in love with it too : )
Ingredients for Refreshing Turmeric Ginger Lemonade:
For 1 litter
1 tbsp. fresh ginger root, crushed
1 tbsp. fresh turmeric root, crushed
3 tbsp. agave or maple syrup
freshly squeezed juice from 2 limes (or 1 lemon)
Instructions for Refreshing Turmeric Ginger Lemonade:
1. In a blender, place the ginger, turmeric and freshly squeezed lime juice together with the agave/maple syrup. Add 1/4 cup of water.
2. Blend until homogeneous.
3. Pour the lemonade in a deep jar, add plenty of ice cubes and more water.
4. Mix and serve immediately this healthy, refreshing and super hydrating iced turmeric ginger lemonade.
