Hello, guys! It’s a hot, hot summer here! And all we need to survive the heat is watermelon : ) I’m so happy the kids LOVE eating this amazing summer fruit. And I just adore it too! As you know, there are so many options when it comes to watermelon. Toni and I, we love starting the day with delicious watermelon smoothies and our two monkeys are so into homemade watermelon lemonade. But since they both are not huge fans of drinking water, I decided to surprise them with this beautiful Watermelon-Nectarine Infused Water. Happily, it was a total hit at home : )
Fruit-infused water or also called detox water has so my health benefits. Beside boosting your metabolism, it cleanses your body and provides you more energy. Fruits add flavor to the water through such a natural way. Therefore, drinking this refreshing and super tasty beverage is maybe one the most delicious and healthy ways to stay cool and fully hydrated in the summer heat : )
This Watermelon-Nectarine Infused Water is so easy to make with only tree ingredients. I mixed watermelon with nectarines and fresh basil leaves, but you can always make you own delicious watermelon combinations. Just use your imagination : )
Ingredients for Watermelon-Nectarine Infused Water:
2 slices of watermelon, cut into cubes
2 nectarines, diced
1 small handful of basil
Directions for Watermelon-Nectarine Infused Water:
1. Mix all ingredients in a pitcher.
2. Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
3. Serve and enjoy this awesomely refreshing summer drink : )
