Hello, beautiful people! We’re sooo happy to announce you that our Epic Family Southeast Asia Travel Adventure has just started! A dreamy and long awaited trip of a lifetime to one of the most stunning and exotic parts of the world! If you’ve already read our story, you probably know that Southeast Asia has been our passion forever. Over the past 10 years we’ve had the pleasure of travelling to magical Thailand several times and visiting beautiful Bali, Malaysia and Singapore. The truth is that here, in Southeast Asia we always felt at home… When we came back to Europe from our last trip, we knew that we wanted more than just a holiday. We wanted to live a simple and peaceful life here and to show our kids how special and incredibly beautiful this part of the world is.
It took us 5 years to make our wildest dream come true… Wow, these were 5 difficult, yet inspiring years! Years of personal and professional struggles, big change and awareness. We experienced a major transformation that changed our lives. We realized how important is to take care of our body and health. We also became aware of the relationship between food and health and started a new plant-based diet that brought us true happiness.
Meanwhile, I was a full time mama working from home and Toni was running three different businesses working 24 hours a day. We didn’t have much time to spend together. The stress was extremely high especially for him. We soon realized that this wasn’t the peaceful and serene life we were looking for our family. We also realized that we desperately missed our beloved Southeast Asia and we weren’t happy anymore in our home country.
So, finally one day a few months ago we decided to sell everything and peruse our dream. We sold our businesses, our home and car and bought one way tickets to Thailand! Lucky us : ) After doing some great research, we decided to come to the beautiful island of Phuket. We’ve been here before and we know that there are quite and relaxing places on the island, away from the tourist crowd. That’s why we chose to live in the peaceful Rawai Area and we love it here so much!
Our Epic Family Southeast Asia Travel Adventure started with an amazing flight to Phuket with Turkish Airlines. The kids just loved it! And the vegan meals on board were absolutely fantastic : )
We arrived in Phuket 3 weeks ago and we have the feeling that we’ve been living here forever. We stayed in a heavenly budget friendly Airbnb pool hotel, while we were house hunting. This hidden gem was located in Rawai Beach and was a great start of our Epic Family Southeast Asia Travel Adventure!
On the 3th day of house hunting we rented a beautiful house in the peaceful area of Rawai. So quickly! We fell in LOVE at first sight with our new home : ) It is located in a lovely quite neighborhood, close to a beautiful lake park and the stunning Nai Harn Beach. One of our favorite daily routines is to walk through the park to the beach, swim in the sea and enjoy the breathtaking sunset. Rawai Beach is only 2-3 minutes drive from home and the small and cute Ao Sane Beach is 10 minutes drive with the motorbike. The lovely Ya Nui Beach and Phromthep Cape, one of the most famous viewpoints in Phuket are 10-12 minutes drive from our place. We’re over the moon with happiness : )
We already had the pleasure of exploring some of the night markets in the area, such as Chalong Night Market, Phuket Walking Street in Phuket Old Town (our favourite!) and Phuket Weekend Market. We also attended the Phuket Vegetarian Festival, one of the most colorful events in Phuket each year.
Well, guys, now we are a happy family of digital nomads and homeschooled / world schooled small adventurers : ) We’ll be living in Thailand for the next 6 months, then we’ll move to magical Bali and after that to picturesque Hoi An, Vietnam. We’ve already booked some short trips to Singapore as well as Siem Reap, Cambodia and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. And we can’t wait to explore every single part of this exotic world!
So, stay tuned for amazing pics, useful tips and more and more lovely plant-based recipes of course : ) We’ll be more than happy to share with you the most exciting moments of our Epic Family Southeast Asia Travel Adventure!
Sending you LOVE & good vibes,
