One of the reasons we chose to live in the peaceful area of Rawai, is the short distance to Nai Harn Beach. This lovely white sand piece of heaven is for sure among of the most stunning beaches in Phuket. Compared to the popular Patong, Karon and Kata, Nai Harn is less crowded even in high season. This incredibly beautiful beach is a favorite spot for both expats and locals.
Nai Harn Beach – white sand, crystal clear water & stunning nature
The beach is surrounded by stunningly beautiful jungle mountains that just take your breath away. During high season (from November to April), the crystal clear green water is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boarding. The beach becomes even more beautiful with the gorgeous sailings boats, that remain in the bay throughout this period.
During low season (from May to October), there are strong currents and the water is not suitable for swimming. However, the beach is still beautiful, especially at sunset.
Nai Harn Beach at Sunset
One of our favorite family rituals is to enjoy the breathtaking sunsets at Nai Harn Beach. This tropical paradise is less crowded at this time of the day. The sky’s colors and the reflections of the water just leave you speechless. Great moments for some stunning shots : )
Where to eat at Nai Harn Beach
There are a few local restaurants under shaded trees, right next to the beach. They serve traditional Thai cuisine and fresh seafood at reasonable prices. You will find some fruit stands next to the local souvenir shops, so you can refresh yourself with some coconuts and yummy fresh tropical fruits.
Also, there are plenty of amazing options for lunch and dinner in just a few minutes drive from the beach. On the the main road leading to Nai Harn, you will find the popular restaurants M&M Pizzeria and Shakers, De Renata and Boulangerie Chez Nous.
If you are vegan/vegetarian lovers, you’ll be happy to visit Natural Efe Macrobiotic World, a wonderful restaurant, that serves healthy and incredibly tasty vegan food. They have a beautifully decorated organic shop with plenty of organic health products & superfoods. The lovely outdoor sitting area is set in a lush tropical garden with pool. We have visited this pure vegan heaven plenty of times, and we highly recommend it with all our hearts.
Getting around Nai Harn Beach
If you decide to spend the whole day here, take the chance to walk around the beautiful Nai Harn Lake and Nai Harn Temple, which are just a short walking distance from the beach. Also, you can drive to Windmill View Point and Promthep Cape to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views over Nai Harn Beach and the beautiful tropical surroundings.
Nai Harn is also located a few minutes drive from the small hidden gems Ao Sane Beach and Ya Nui Beach. Both beaches are heavenly spots to relax for families with babies and kids, couples and singles. The crystal clear water is ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
