Good morning, smoothie lovers! Autumn is in full swing, so how about starting the day with this quick and easy Pear, banana and date smoothie bowl? I’ve already posted this healthy energizing breakfast on my other blog and I can’t wait to share it here with you : )
It will take you only 5 minutes to make this morning autumn deliciousness. All you need is some ripe bananas, pears, dates, chia seeds and maca powder. For the topping I used freshly picked goji berries, pear and banana slices and organic corn flakes. And it was sooo irresistibly yummy!
This year we have a lot of homegrown goji berries, picked form Toni’s parents amazing garden. Also, we are blessed with some lovely autumn treasures such as juicy apples and pears as well as delicious quinces. Lucky us!
I can’t believe how peaceful and relaxing it’s to pick those small and super healthy red berries.
And here’s what you need for this healthy, quick and super yummy morning breakfast…
Ingredients for Pear, banana and date smoothie bowl:
Serves 2
2 ripe bananas, peeled and roughly chopped
1 pear, roughly chopped
10-12 medjool dates, pitted
1 cup water
2 tbsp. chia seeds, soaked
2 tsp. maca powder
Instructions for Pear, banana and date smoothie bowl:
1. Combine bananas, pears and dates in a blender. Pour the water and blend for about 1 – 2 minutes until smooth.
2. Add chia seeds and maca powder and blend for another 30 seconds.
3. Pour the mixture in a bowl and top with pear and banana slices, fresh goji berries and yummy organic cornflakes.
We always soak the chia seeds in water for at least 10 minutes. However, if you don’t have enough time, it will be much easier for you to soak the chia seeds the night (or a couple of days) before and keep them in the fridge. If you don’t have any fresh goji berries, I’m sure the topping will be fantastic with some dried goji berries too!
I hope this lovely Pear, banana and date smoothie bowl will give you a fresh and gorgeous start of the day.
Wishing you a beautiful one, dear friends : )
